My So Late Mother’s Day Post

I know, this is a really late post for Mother’s Day, but there’s really nothing I can do but blame it on my heavy work load (as usual). Luckily I have some free time tonight so I thought of grabbing this opportunity to update my blog.

Now, let me start my blog update by sharing how our family spent Mother’s Day…

Because Mother’s Day was on a Sunday (of course!), we started the day by attending the first mass for the day. I hate to admit this but it’s only during these special occasions that we make it a point to go to church together with my parents (Mom wants to attend the first mass held at 5:30am and I am just too lazy to wake up that early).

We had breakfast at home but we had lunch at Fortune (Hong Kong) Seafood Restaurant in Malolos, Bulacan. Whenever we eat out with my parents, this is the sure place that we go to simply because that’s my Dad’s fave restaurant.

Lapu-Lapu fillet in sweet and sour sauce is something that will definitely be on our table. Again, because that is my Dad’s fave and fish is the only thing that he eats. Yes, for my Dad, that is no to pork, chicken, beef & other seafoods.

Now it my turn…This spare ribs with salt & pepper was for me! Because I don’t eat fish, there must be something else served on our table so this one was for me! Ha-ha!

We already had fish and pork and for us to have a balanced meal we need to have some veggies, so we ordered for Broccoli with Golden Mushroom!

My husband and my Mom doesn’t really mind what were  served on the table so I guess my Dad and I were lucky to have chosen our favorites. Hubby’s meal, however, will never be complete without his all time fave Almond-Lychee!

Hmmm…Everything that was served on our table were simply YUMMY!!!

Mom also had flowers sent to her for Mother’s Day. Half dozen white roses from my cousin’s daughter who is now based in Dubai and white orchids from my one and only sister who lives in the USA…

Overall, we all made my Mom happy on this special day for Moms… :)

This is my blog update for now…I still need to look into auto7 oxygen sensor before I can call it a night.

Feeling Tired

I can’t believe that at age 34 I am already running out of energy. As mentioned in my other entries, its audit season again and by the end of the day, I feel so drained. I remember that during my younger years, I used to be just as busy yet I still have the energy to go out with friends until the wee hours of the morning. Sometimes I go to work the next day without any sleep and still feel energized. Now, years later, all I want to do is to go straight home and sleep to recharge my tired batteries. I don’t even have the stamina to go to with my husband at the mall to look for Gibson guitars for his best friend’s birthday.

Surely, this is not a sign of getting old right? May be I just have to take some multivitamins to keep me going…*in a state of denial! Ha-ha-ha!!*

Puzzles…

Before the busy audit season started, playing hidden objects games consumes so much of my time. These hidden object games usually have mini puzzle games and I’ve realized that I enjoyed those mini games so much that I want to search for more jigsaw puzzle games online. Offline, I am planning of getting sunsout because I heard that these are eco-friendly since they use recycled boards and soy-based inks. What nice with puzzles is that you are having fun while you mind is in action, not to mention the feeling of accomplishment when you’re able work with more than 1000 pieces of puzzle.

Failed Weight Loss Alternative

It was sometime last year when I tried drinking Leisure 18 slimming coffee to help me get rid to the undesirable pounds. If memory serves me right, I think I was able to consume about 3 boxes of this slimming coffee and was able to lose 3 inches off my waist. Obviously, the product is working the way it should.

My original plan then was to continue drinking Leisure 18 until I have reached my desired weight; however, for some reason I got tired of the taste and of the routine of drinking the coffee 30 minutes before breakfast so I ended up quitting the Leisure 18 even before I reached my target weight. In just a few weeks I have noticed the rebound on my weight. Those 3 inches that I have lost have returned plus a few more in just a matter of weeks.

Some people are taking slimming pills to lose weight but are diet pills safe? After my experience with slimming coffee, I would rather go for the natural way of losing weight and that is through the tried and tested diet and exercise.

Running Flat

It’s back to work for me since Thursday of last week! Because I just had a surgery due to ectopic pregnancy a month ago, wearing shoes with heels (which I normally wear at work) could give me a hard time so I must wear flat shoes to keep me comfortable.

You can say that I’m “Imeldific” because of the number of shoes that I own so there’s really no need for me to buy new pairs of flat shoes…B-U-T…when we went to Trinoma a few days before I was due to report back to work to look for childrens playground equipment, I just couldn’t resist these dainty-girly shoes that I saw at The Landmark department store. **The impulsive buyer strikes again!**

There may be times when I couldn’t resist buying things that appeals to me but to keep things “balanced”, I am also on the look out for items on sale. Just look at that black & white stripes shoes I from Cardam’s, it’s originally priced at Php799.00 but it was on sale so I got it for only Php599.00!

Another pair that I got is from Bianca Shoes and I bought it for only Php695.00! See, I got two shoes for less than Php1,300.00! I am still a wise-shopper! Ha-Ha! :)
